Getting started

Four steps, and none of them are difficult

This is genuinely the whole process. There is no verification queue and no waiting period.

Search “OnlineCare” in your app store

Open the App Store on iPhone or Google Play on Android and search for OnlineCare. We’re the first result — look for the brain-and-node logo. The download is free and there is nothing to pay to get started.

Install it and open the app

Tap install, wait a few seconds, then open it. You’ll land on a short welcome screen that explains what the app does and, just as importantly, what it doesn’t. No card details, no lengthy onboarding, no questionnaire before you can look around.

Sign in the way you prefer

Continue with Apple, continue with Google, or register manually with an email address and password. Apple and Google sign-in take one tap and we never see your password. Manual registration needs a name, an email and a password — that’s it.

Start talking — out loud or by text

You’re in. Tap Start Speaking Now for a real-time voice session, or choose text chat if you’d rather type. From the same home screen you can run a guided symptom check, open the mental-health tools, or set up your health wallet. Everything is available immediately.

What the first five minutes look like

Every tool is on the home screen from the moment you sign in. Start wherever your question is.

A real-time voice session with the AI health companion

Talk it through

Tap once and speak naturally. The companion follows normal speech, hesitation and language switching, and reads the guidance back to you.

Text chat showing suggested health questions

Or type instead

Same reasoning, same follow-up questions. Useful in a shared flat, a lecture hall or an open-plan office.

Symptom category selection screen

Run a symptom check

Pick a category or search, then answer a short guided sequence about area, severity, duration and timing.

Session summary with OTC recommendations and body focus

Leave with a summary

Every session ends with a written summary, suggested next steps and any over-the-counter options worth considering.

Symptom checking

Point at where it hurts, not at a medical dictionary

The guided check asks what a clinician would ask — where, how bad, how long, what makes it worse. You never need to know the name of a condition to get useful guidance, and the whole thing takes about two minutes.

  • Tap the body area, or choose from a fully labelled list if you prefer.
  • Severity anchored in what you can still do, not in abstract numbers.
  • Warning signs are screened before anything else and override the rest of the check.
  • You end with one of four honest answers: home care, an OTC option, a clinician, or urgent care.

Mental health

Safety questions come before anything else

Before any mental-health assessment begins, the app asks how you’re doing right now. If your answer suggests you may be at risk, it stops and shows crisis resources immediately rather than continuing with a questionnaire.

  • A short risk screen runs first, every time.
  • Then a structured assessment based on recognised screening instruments.
  • Results are explained in plain language — a score is never presented as a diagnosis.
  • Nothing is shared with your employer, university or family unless you send it yourself.

Good to know

A few things worth knowing before you start

Free to start, genuinely

Conversations, symptom checks, mental-health tools, the pharmacy finder and your health wallet cost nothing and need no card. Only clinician consultations and certified documentation are paid, with the price shown first.

Switch language any time

Voice and text both work in over 100 languages, and you can change mid-sentence. Guidance is written in your language rather than machine-translated afterwards.

Add family profiles

Keep separate profiles for children or a parent you care for, so records, allergies and medication lists never get mixed up.

Works on both platforms

iOS and Android, phone and tablet. Your account and records sync, so you can start on one device and continue on another.

Private by default

Encrypted in transit and at rest, with a biometric lock available on the wallet. Training on your conversations is off unless you turn it on.

Not for emergencies

The app is not an emergency service. In the US call 911, or call or text 988 in a mental-health crisis.

Getting started FAQ

The questions people ask before downloading

No. The app is free to download and the core features are free to use with no card required. Clinician consultations and certified documentation are paid, and the full price is always shown before you confirm anything.

Whichever you prefer — they give identical access. Sign in with Apple is the most private option because you can hide your real email address. Google is fastest on Android. Manual registration works everywhere and only needs a name, email and password.

You can look around, but an account is needed to save conversations, build your health wallet or track anything over time — those features have to be tied to something.

About two minutes from opening the app store to your first question. There is no verification queue, no waiting period and no lengthy questionnaire.

Use text chat. It gets the same reasoning, the same follow-up questions and the same next steps, and you can switch between voice and text mid-conversation without starting over.

The AI guidance, symptom checker, mental-health tools and health wallet work anywhere, in over 100 languages. Clinician consultations, medication delivery and certified documentation depend on local regulation, and the app shows what is available where you are.

Settings → Privacy → Delete my data, or email privacy@onlinecareai.com. Deletion is permanent: personal data leaves our live systems within 30 days and backups within 90. Records from a clinician consultation are kept longer where medical-record law requires it.
