Accessibility Statement
The standard we hold ourselves to, what we have already done, what still needs work, and how to tell us when something blocks you.
Effective date: 7 August 2026 · Last updated: 7 August 2026
1. Our commitment
Health information is not optional. If someone cannot use our app because of a disability, that is a failure of our design — not a limitation of theirs. We treat accessibility as a product requirement, not a compliance checkbox.
2. The standard we follow
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA across both the website and the mobile app, and we design with the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 508 in mind. New features are reviewed against these criteria before release.
3. What we have done
- All text meets or exceeds AA contrast ratios, verified programmatically across every page
- Every interactive element is reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator
- Semantic headings, landmarks and a skip link on every page
- Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images; decorative images hidden from screen readers
- Form fields have persistent labels, and errors are announced, not just coloured
- Accordions, menus and dialogs use correct ARIA roles and states
- Layouts reflow without horizontal scrolling from 320 px upwards, and support 200% zoom
- All motion is disabled automatically when your device requests reduced motion
- Colour is never the only way information is conveyed
- In the app: full VoiceOver and TalkBack support, Dynamic Type, and voice input as an alternative to typing throughout
4. Known limitations
We would rather tell you than have you discover it:
- Some third-party embedded content, such as mapping and payment interfaces, is outside our direct control. We choose accessible providers where we can and report defects to them.
- The body-area selector in the symptom checker is graphical. A fully labelled list-based alternative is available and reaches the same result.
- Automatically generated captions on any video content may contain errors.
5. Assistive technology we test with
VoiceOver on iOS and macOS, TalkBack on Android, NVDA and JAWS on Windows, keyboard-only navigation, browser zoom to 200% and 400%, and both light and dark system settings.
6. Tell us about a barrier
If anything blocks you, please tell us — it goes directly to the design team rather than into a general support queue. Email support@onlinecareai.com with "Accessibility" in the subject line, and include the page or screen, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology you use.
We aim to acknowledge within two business days and to give you a fix or a workaround within ten.
7. Alternative formats
Any information on this website is available in an alternative format on request — including large print, plain text and screen-reader-optimised documents. Ask at support@onlinecareai.com and there is no charge.
